Alpinism
The Gran Sasso Mountain range is sure to offer one of the most entertaining experiences for any alpinist. One of its most challenging peaks is the Corno Piccolo (especially its eastern wall). Also worth of mention are the Corno Grande ( 2914 m.), well suited for “classic” alpinism; Pizzo d'Intermesoli, which is sure to pose a good challenge to even the most experienced pratictioners of this sport; and Monte Camicia.
